Staff Continuing Education

To give your pets the benefit of the most up to date information and technology we make participation in continuing education programs a priority.

Our Veterinarians each attend a 3-5 day conference of the most up-to-date information from specialists from around the world. This ranges from Florida, Las Vegas to close to home in Toronto. They also have afternoon meetings that they attend where specialist come to talk.

Our Technicians attend the 2-3 day conference which is located in Toronto or London every year. They are able to see the most modern things happenings in the veterinary busy so they can apply it and work.

Our Receptionists are able to attend communication conferences as well as other conferences to keep them going strong to serve you better.

All staff attend monthly meetings in the Niagara area that cover several different topics including new medications and products, common health issues in pets, dietary needs and many more.

Training meetings for all staff at the clinic keep us moving towards the most modern medicine available.

OAVT Conference 2016    (Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians)

This past weekend all of our technicians attended the OAVT (Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians) conference in Toronto to receive continuing education.
As RVT’s they have to first complete certain criteria and successfully complete the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) with a passing grade.
To maintain their registration they must satisfy continuing education requirements on a bi-annual basis. This Conference is held each year to help RVT’s with staying current on industry techniques and innovations.
Deanna and Michaela took the pledge to call themselves RVT’s (Registered Veterinary Technicians) instead of vet techs.
