Dr. Sophie Velianou

PETS: Cats (Bentley, Duckie and Figaro), Dog (Koda), Horse (Star)

From a young age Dr Sophie knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. As a child she enjoyed caring for her family dogs, birds and horses at the stable she rode at. Sophie was originally interested in equine and dairy medicine, but she found her passion was for small animals and joined us in 2017. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but is particularly enthusiastic about dentistry, internal medicine and surgery.

Sophie lives in Grimsby with her husband and her pets, Bentley, Figaro, Duckie and Koda. In her spare time she likes riding her horse, Star, at a local boarding stable and cherishes the friendships she has made there with other horse owners.  She enjoys playing beach volleyball,  and gardening.  Recently she has ventured into winter sports, including snowboarding and snowmobiling!
