Emergency Process

In the event of an after-hours emergency, we refer our patients to the Niagara Veterinary Emergency Clinic (NVEC) in St. Catharines, near Brock University.

If you have an emergency when our office is closed please phone the NVEC at 1-800-465-1414 and then proceed there.

We are very confident in the care that they provide. The facility is clean, well-equipped, well-staffed, up-to-date, and the services are reasonably priced. We believe this to be the best care available for our patients when our office is closed.

The NVEC is open 24 hours a day to provide top-notch care to critical care patients that we refer there. Records are transferred back to our clinic for all our patients to ensure continuity of care, so we can continue to care for and be aware of each patient's medical condition.

Alternatively, Lakeshore Animal Health Partners in Mississauga is a specialized hospital that offers round-the-clock care, equipped with an extensive range of equipment and a team of specialists who are capable of attending to the needs of severely ill or injured patients.
